This is an exciting opportunity for a Part Qualified Practice Accountant to join our well established, progressive Accountancy Practice

Based in Swords, County Dublin, Cregan Accounting is a well respected and established Accountancy Practice, who provide Audit & Accounting, Business Advice, Taxation and Outsourced Bookkeeping for a wide range of clients. The role will be based in Swords Co Dublin with the flexibility to work from home part of the week.

Main Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Seniors Management, Managers and Partners on the planning and execution of both audit and non-audit engagements
  • Responsible for a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries
  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Complete audit and non-audit files on small, micro and dormant companies
  • Preparation of both personal and corporate tax computations and filing returns
  • Delegating to and assisting in the training of junior team members
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
  • Bespoke projects dependent on client requirements with managers and partners (Revenue Audits, Tax Planning, Corporate Finance etc.)

Experience & Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a professional qualification
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a small to medium-sized practice managing a portfolio of clients and be able to bring accounts to trial balance stage
  • Strong Customer focus
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ambitious and a team player
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Solid comprehension of core accounting and tax fundamentals
  • Experience in using Sage Accounts Production, Relate Accounts Production, Xero, Surf Accounts Production and ROS would be desirable
  • Experience in all 3 areas of Audit, Accounts Preparation and Tax is preferred but not essential
  • Acting point of contact for your clients, accounts preparation and tax returns.
  • Completing annual files for clients against required timelines.
  • Preparing outsourced management accounts for key clients.
  • Communicating with clients, resolving queries and business consulting.
  • Revenue online/offline duties as and when required
  • Time management, budgeting and organisational skills
  • VAT, Tax and payroll experience preferred.
  • Technical ability with knowledge of accounts and audit software
  • Ability to work well as a part of a team and sharing workloads.
